Pakenham Early Learning Centre
We couldn’t be happier with the care our child receives at this centre! From day one, the warmth and professionalism of the team have made such a difference in our lives. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible leadership of the Centre Manager. The child is free to explore, discover and learn in an environment they feel they belong in.
Our dedicated team of educators deliver play-based learning programs that foster a love of learning in a safe and welcoming environment. Our programs are designed to be emergent in nature and are guided by the childcare in pakenham children’s interests. It is our continued mission and vision to provide an educational, learning and home away from home nurturing environment for all children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We have a spacious, stimulating family day care environment where your child learns, play and interact with other children. Our classrooms are highly spacious, properly ventilated and stuffed with age-appropriate learning materials. We also have a large outdoor play area where your child can play and have fun with similar age group children.
Charlotte and her friends will be visiting the local primary school next week. Throughout the Kindergarten year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings. We Love Little Stars Pakenham 🌟There 4yr old Kinder program is amazing. My daughter goes on excursions often and she comes home excited to share her stories of the day. And is always excited to see her friends and teachers Shikha and Roshini. Book your tour online, or one of our team members can book you in when we speak with you.
Programs include nature-based experiences, art activities, STEAM and a school readiness curriculum. Story House Early Learning does not require families to pay a bond or enrolment fee when enrolling your child, however there is a requirement for childcare fees to remain two weeks in advance at all times. Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation. On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment.
Hi I’m Carissa and I’m the new Centre Manager at Aspire Pakenham! I began my early childhood career in 1990 while completing my Diploma of Community Services in Child Care. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of senior educator and leadership roles, becoming a Centre Manager in 2000. After relocating to Western Australia in 2008, I returned to Melbourne in 2017 and have continued to lead early learning services with a strong focus on inclusion, quality, and community. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Our experience in both the toddler and Kinder 3 rooms was outstanding. The educators — including Ruth, Sarah, Jelly, Edna, Bailey, Sopesy, and the entire team — were absolutely amazing, caring, and supportive. My daughter truly loved this daycare. Even after moving houses and leaving the centre about three months ago, she still misses it. Kindergarten children can also take part in our library borrowing program, which encourages a love of reading to extend into their homes and their families. Our four-year-old children can even learn Spanish through Early Learning Languages Australia.
The educators are lifelong learners, participating in regular and ongoing professional development to enhance their skills. They are encouraged to upskill, learning about the latest research and thinking in the sector. They can then bring this knowledge back to the centre to share with their colleagues for the benefit of the children. The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles.
Your child could also be eligible for up to 15 hours per week at no cost, thanks to the Victorian Government’s “Free Kinder” Program. As part of the Story House Early Learning STRONG Beginnings curriculum, we believe learning continues beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer thoughtfully designed take-home resources for families, supporting each child’s development through fun, engaging activities. They want to learn and explore, which is why we teach through play-based learning. It supports language, motor skills, memory, emotions and social relationships. Educators plan play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and goals.
Our transition to school program prepares children for a smooth start to primary school. Complimentary hat & wetbag are provided to help your child feel part of the Eden Academy community. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences. We’re proud to have qualified teachers and educators, supported by a team of national education experts, ensuring the highest quality childcare and early education. The Early Years Learning Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning. As a leader, I value empathy, transparency, and continuous improvement. I strive to create a welcoming and proactive environment where families feel heard, children feel safe, and educators are inspired to grow. Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of six and “Nanny” to ten wonderful grandchildren.
