There is $904,776 in the draft 25/26 budget for projectswithin economic development. Economic development is deliveredthrough a partnership with Council, other levels of government and moreimportantly with the support and engagement of local businesses chambers andindustry groups. To better support economic growth Council is offering acompetitive grant program where chambers and business associations can applyfor funding once a year. This Program will empower chambers and to takeownership and lead the direction of business activities that target the uniquecharacteristic of their business precincts and better support local economicgrowth.
